Welcome to the Mathematical Physics Program at the ANU !

People

We have around 20 academic staff, including PhD and Honours students. Currently we have 5 Professors including Emeritus Prof Rodney J BAXTER. People in the program include staff in the Department of Theoretical Physics, RSPhysSE and the Mathematical Sciences Institute.

Research

Research interests range from integrable models in statistical mechanics and quantum field theory to string theory, representations of quantum algebras and applications to algebraic geometry.

Prospective students

We are currently recruiting honours and PhD students to work on a number of projects in mathematical physics.
