New Theoretical Physics Web site -- Try it!

All members of the Department (including Visiting Fellows and students) are invited to experiment with our new web site.

The default home pages for every member are generated authomatically on the basis of information in the database maintained by Trina Merrell. Although everyone can edit these default homepages at the moment there is no point of doing that, as they will be regenerated again ones the databes is updated. However you could try to create your personal homepage right now. Just follow "howto" below:

1. go to http://theophyspc14.anu.edu.au:8000/
2. click the button "log in" in the upper right corner of the screen.
3. type your
   • username (=your lowercase last name) and
   • password (ask Trina or Vladimir)

   click enter

4. you will get message "You are now logged in"
5. click on your name on the upper blue bar and will get to your default home page which is generated authomatically
6. click on "my folder", then "add" in the middle of the screen
7. choose Document
8. fill in
   • short title: homepage
   • Title: My Home Page
   • type something in the body,

for example (start "photo" from the beginning of the line and align the rest as shown):

then click "save" at the bottom of the form

1. repeat step 5
2. click on the blue link "homepage" at the bottom of your default homepage and see what will happen
